About
Just over two years ago, I was diagnosed with coeliac disease, and this meant that my diet was going to become a lot more restricted, especially when I'm a vegetarian too. So I had to learn to cook from scratch and also learn to bake, as the trips to the supermarket made me think " well I could make that at home." So this is what I did. And if you have to have Free From food, you know it can be a costly business. And I just wanted to be able to eat quiche again!
And then I know what it's like to worry about cross contamination, or to go to a wedding or a funeral or a party and there's nothing for you to eat except the crisps if you're lucky. And eating out isn't much fun either.
So two years on, and after making cakes for family and friends, that all say they taste delicious and that you can't tell they're gluten free, I decided that I would start my own cake baking business.
I just want to be able to offer gluten free-ers a chance to have something yummy to eat, without the fear of cross contamination or without charging the earth. Yes it's a business, but my prices are competitive with businesses selling gluten filled items or gluten free items that have cross contamination risks.
And you don't have to be gluten free to enjoy my cakes, they really are scrumdidaleeumptious with no difference in quality and taste and texture! So whether you're a coeliac or not, or whether you just want to order some cakes that taste really good, get in touch. You never know who might turn up at your party glad that they can actually eat a piece of cake, and the gluten eaters won't even know that they've eaten gluten free!
